Otherwise known as “anti-wrinkle injections”, this quick and effective treatment rejuvenates by softening facial lines caused by repetitive contractions of our facial muscles. Commonly treated areas include the forehead lines, frown lines, eye wrinkles, lip wrinkles and gummy smile. When skilfully injected, muscle relaxants/antiwrinkles can also enhance your facial profile by lifting the brows and slimming the jawline for instance. Medical conditions such as bruxism (jaw clenching) and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) can also be effectively treated with muscle relaxants.

These injections contain purified protein that blocks muscular activity at the site of injections. A thorough assessment is conducted by Dr Ricky to determine which muscles are to be treated in order to soften dynamic facial lines.

Yes, treatment is not possible if you:

  • Are currently pregnant/planning/breastfeeding.
  • Have neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert Syndrome.
  • Had tetanus/whooping cough vaccination in the last 6 weeks.
  • Are currently taking certain antibiotics.

Examples include forehead lines, frown lines, bunny lines, eye wrinkles, lip wrinkles, jawline slimming, gummy smile, Nefertiti neck lift, platysmal banding, excessive sweating.

Excluding facial assessment, the injecting procedure itself takes less than 5 minutes.

Minimal – numbing cream or ice can be used to numb if required
