CHIN FILLERS BRISBANE

Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation with Dermal Fillers

ABOUT CHIN

Chin filler is a highly sought-after procedure at our Brisbane cosmetic clinic. It is important to remember that we are not only viewed front-on but from 360-degree view points. Patients may seek to add length, in order to look more elegant, while others prefer a more angular chin which (subconsciously) portrays strength and fertility.

WHY CHIN FILLER?

Chin enhancement is part of our injectable profiloplasty treatments. A good chin gives your face a strong statement from facial profile perspective and upscale perceivable social traits.

There are several reasons why patients seek chin filler at Eleventh Heaven™:

  1. Want a younger or more ‘elegant’ aesthetic
  2. Displeased with their side profile
  3. Wish to balance their front profile
  4. Desire to portray strength and youth
  5. To look more beautiful/handsome

Here is an interesting medical journal article about the correlation of the chin position, perceived personality traits and perceived emotional facial expressions.

OUR APPROACH & DESIGN

Size

Small or recessed chin (microgenia) can be improved non-surgically by the use of chin fillers. Depending upon the shape and size of your face pre-injectables, the size created with dermal filler will be variable and discussed with Dr. Ricky.

Shape

Men typically require more filler if they are seeking an angular, straighter chin to display strength. Women tend to have narrower and tapered lower face and so conventionally the shape will be a slightly pointy to project an air of elegance.

Rejuvenation/Restructuring

With ageing, there are bone resorption, atrophy of the soft tissue and hypertonic chin muscles which result in a rotated, receded and squarer chin. In female, this leads to a more aged and masculinised look with negative emotional attributes such as tiredness. By applying filler to the chin area, we can reshape the chin by project and/or lengthen the face, thereby rejuvenating and preserving a more feminine aesthetic.

Without realising it, subconsciously men are considered more attractive and desirable if they have a more angular chin as our brain has been programmed to subconsciously decipher that as showing power, dominance and ability to propagate. Dr. Ricky treats many male patients and also specialises in male treatments to enhance their aesthetic.

Beyond The Box

We think far ahead before we pick up our syringe and inject. Many factors come into our mind when we design your chin – your personal style/personality, what your chin look like in 3D view and during animation, what your chin may look like in long run. Gender and ethnic considerations are made during our facial design.

Areas To Be Treated

The area between the lower lip and chin is considered one cosmetic unit so it is important to consider blending of treatment is likely, rather than just chin lengthening or projection. Furthermore, the chin cosmetic unit will have to blend smoothly with jawline.

Pain Relief

Prescriptive topical anaesthesia may be applied for 10-15 minutes prior to your procedure.

This procedure is generally tolerable.

Furthermore, there is also anaesthetic agent incorporated in the filler to yield further anaesthesia during the procedure.

Injecting Methods

A combination of techniques are commonly used at the Eleventh Heaven™ and the decision is clinical.

  1. Sharp technique – using a fine needle; most commonly for definition and precision control.
  2. Cannulation technique – using a blunt dermal-filling cannula; most commonly used for blending; may be less traumatic with less downtime.

Product Choice

Product selection is solely a clinical decision based on the factors discussed above.

Whilst our patients do not ask about the brand or name of the product because of the trust they have bestowed upon us, you can be assured we only use premium and Australian government approved product that we have sourced from authorised and genuine supplier. In addition, Eleventh Heaven™ only uses dermal fillers from reputable manufacturers and products that are backed up by sufficient clinical data.

With our years of experience and numbers of patients treated, we have used and trialled most of the premium & approved dermal fillers available in Australia. Eleventh Heaven™ has therefore gathered enough experience and knowledge about the different rheological properties of various dermal fillers to select the best and safest products available.

For chin filler, a dermal filler that is thick and firm is required to give projection. Appropriate product with corresponding technology/rheology will be selected based on your tissue thickness and aesthetic goal.

* As dermal filler is classified as prescription-only medicine in Australia, we are not able to name the brands.

* Please be aware there are many counterfeit injectable products due to illegal importation into Australia.
