COLLAGEN-STIMULATING INJECTIONS

Over time, our body’s enzymes break collagen down, causing skin to lose elasticity, fullness and to form wrinkles. Collagen biostimulator restarts the natural process of collagen production, which replenishes volume and encourage your body to rebuild its own collagen over time.

This replenishing effect helps to gradually reduce lines, wrinkles and folds, giving way to a fresh-looking appearance. The bonus of having increased collagen is that you’ll start to notice that your skin will take on a more youthful and glowing appearance.

Dr Ricky is also one of the first few, if not the first doctor in Brisbane to also use this treatment to perform body treatments such as non-surgical buttock augmentation. Other possible body treatments including skin tightening & rejuvenation of inner arm laxity & stretch marks.

FAQs

What is collagen?

Collagen is a key structural component of smooth, healthy-looking skin. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases. In fact, you lose about 1% of collagen per year after the age of 20. This is when you may start to notice the formation of wrinkles.

What are collagen-stimulating injections?

Collagen stimulating injections are used to diminish facial wrinkles by helping to restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin. Results appear gradually over the treatment regime and may last up to two years.

Which areas can be treated?

  • Face – Volume replacement & skin texture improvement
  • Neck & décolletage – wrinkles & skin texture improvement
  • Body – Non-surgical Brazilian butt lift, inner arm tightening and more

Who are potential candidates?

Anyone who is above 18 years old and has a healthy immune system may be able to have this treatment. This treatment is especially suitable for those who have lost a large amount of facial volume due to excessive exercise and certain medical conditions (such as lipodystrophy). It is also the ideal treatment for those who prefer subtle and gradual facial enhancement or revolumisation.

Are there any contradictions to treatment?

Yes, treatment is not possible if you:

  • are currently pregnant/planning/breastfeeding
  • have known allergies to the ingredients

How long does the procedure take?

It takes approximately 30-60 minutes to numb and inject the treatment area.

Is it painful?

Certain areas can be sensitive so numbing cream and/or ice will be used to ensure your comfort.

Is there any downtime?

Just like any other medical procedures involving injection, some bruises and swelling may occur but are usually easily covered by make up. Therefore, there is only minimal social downtime involved.

How often do I need treatment?

We recommend 1 vial of treatment per decade (e.g. a 40 year old might require 4 vials of collagen stimulating injections). Typically only 2 vials are injected during each session. Treatment sessions are spaced few weeks apart. Full result may lasts up to 2 years, sometimes even longer.

(* All above claims are clinically proven by reputable medical bodies/manufacturer. Individual results may vary.)

How much does the treatment cost?

Treatment investment differs individually and is dependent on the dosage required.
