COSMELAN® & DERMAMELAN® DEPIGMENTATION

Clinical Depigmentation Method for Melasma & Stubborn Hyperpigmentation

The cosmelan® method and dermamelan® method (30% stronger than cosmelan®; doctor-only peel) is a clinical depigmentation programme that consists of 4-phases in conjunction with Healite II LLED phototherapy which are necessary to achieve the target outcome.

  • Phase 1 (Corrective action): Intense in-clinic depigmentation to remove the deposit of melanin up to 82% with cosmelan® or 95% with dermamelan®.
  • Phase 2-4 (Regulating action): Maintenance programme with active ingredients that act directly on melanocytes to regulate the production of melanin and keep hyperpigmentation under control.

The synergistic action of this programme ensures higher depigmenting efficacy, greater comfort during treatment and lower risk of repigmentation.

What can I expect during & after this treatment?

During

This involves the application of a thick mask which takes 30 minutes. Once the mask is applied, patients will go home with the mask on for the next 8-12 hours depending on the skin types.

After

  • Day 1-4: expect red, tight, hot and mildly swollen skin.
  • Day 4-5: peeling will start around this time and may last 7-10 days. It is very important not to pick, rub or exfoliate the skin to avoid infection and scarring. Please allow the skin to shed naturally.

(A few extra days of peeling, redness and sensitivity will be expected from dermamelan®)

Results will appear 3-6 weeks post treatment after the peeling has stopped, giving a significant improvement in pigmentation as well as clearer, brighter skin.

Strict adherence to post care instructions and home products including regular sunscreen is non-negotiable in order for this treatment programme to work.
