How the program is structured
-
Phase 1 — Corrective (in-clinic): An intensive, in-clinic mask/peel is applied to begin reducing the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
-
Phases 2–4 — Regulating & maintenance (at-home + reviews): A guided home regimen with targeted actives aims to help regulate melanocyte activity, support skin barrier recovery, and reduce the likelihood of recurrence. Regular reviews, strict broad-spectrum SPF, and seasonal adjustments are part of the plan.
-
Healite II LED phototherapy may be used as an adjunct to support comfort and recovery.
What it may help with (varies by individual)
-
Appearance of melasma (epidermal/dermal or mixed patterns)
-
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and uneven tone
-
Ongoing tone maintenance with sun-safe routines
Important considerations
-
Suitability & safety: Not appropriate for everyone (e.g., certain skin conditions, pregnancy/breastfeeding, photosensitising medications).
-
Expected effects: Temporary redness, dryness, peeling, tightness, and sensitivity are common during early phases. Post-inflammatory pigment change can occur, especially without diligent SPF.
-
Commitment: Best practice includes strict photoprotection, adherence to the home program, and scheduled reviews.
-
Results: Individual responses differ; no outcome is guaranteed.
