Jawline Sculpting & Profile Balancing Brisbane

The architectural frame of the face. Defining the mandibular angle to restore strength, balance, and continuity.

Restoring The Frame

A defined jawline is the cornerstone of facial structural integrity.

The jawline does more than just separate the face from the neck; it dictates how the eye perceives the balance of the entire profile.

At Eleventh Heaven™, we view the jawline as the “architectural frame” of the face. Whether the goal is to restore a sharp, youthful angle lost to bone resorption or to create structure in a naturally recessed chin, our approach is one of Precision and Proportion.

We do not believe in the “wide” or “heavy” look often seen in over-filled jawlines. Led by Dr Ricky Sia, we use structural treatments and muscle-modulating techniques to create a contour that is defined, streamlined, and harmonised with your unique features.

We operate with strict discretion protocols from our boutique clinic in Teneriffe. Serving patients from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, interstate, and overseas.

The Science of the “Strong” Jaw

A beautiful jawline is defined by the continuity of the bone from the ear to the chin. We address the three key anatomical factors that compromise this line.

Bone Resorption (The Foundation)

The mandible (jawbone) naturally recedes with age, particularly at the “Gonial Angle” (the corner of the jaw). As the bone shrinks, the skin loses its scaffold, causing the definition to blur. We rebuild this foundation to restore the sharp “L-shape” of the back jaw.

Muscle Hypertrophy vs. Atrophy

The Masseter muscle can be a double-edged sword. In some patients, it is too bulky, creating a wide, square face. In others, it is weak, leading to a lack of definition. We tailor our treatment to either slim the muscle (for a V-shape) or support it (for structure).

Chin Projection (The Anchor)

You cannot treat the jawline without respecting the chin. If the chin is recessed (set back), the jawline will appear short and weak. We often perform Profile Balancing, projecting the chin forward to extend the jawline and tighten the skin under the neck.

Customising the Contour

There is no “universal” jawline. The difference between a masculine and feminine result comes down to millimetres of projection and angle.

  • The Feminine Ideal: Typically involves a defined but tapered look. The goal is a sharp mandibular angle that transitions smoothly into a V-shaped or heart-shaped chin, avoiding excessive width.

  • The Masculine Ideal: Often requires a wider, more square “Gonial Angle” and a broader chin projection to signal strength and structural dominance.

The Eleventh Heaven Protocol

We use a multi-layered approach to sculpt the lower face, often combining modalities for a seamless result.

1. Structural Definition (The Scaffold)

We use ultra-dense, structural volumising treatment placed deep on the periosteum (bone). This mimics the feel and projection of natural bone, extending the jawline without adding “puffiness” to the skin.

2. Jawline Slimming (The V-Shape)

For patients with a “bottom-heavy” or square face caused by muscle grinding, we can relax the muscles to slim the posterior jaw. This reveals the underlying bone structure and creates a feminine, tapered silhouette.

3. Myomodulation (Neck Lift)

By treating the Platysma muscle bands that pull the jawline down (often called the “Nefertiti Lift”), we release the downward tension, allowing the jawline to sit higher and sharper.

Safety & Considerations

At Eleventh Heaven™, patient safety is paramount. While non-surgical jawline contouring is generally well-tolerated, it is a medical procedure that carries potential risks.

Common Side Effects

  • Swelling: The jawline is a robust area, but swelling can persist for 48–72 hours.

  • Bruising: Minor bruising at the injection points is possible.

  • Tenderness: The area may feel “tight” or tender to chew for a few days as the product integrates.

Rare but Serious Risks

  • Vascular Occlusion: A rare complication where blood flow is compromised. Dr Ricky uses ultrasound guidance (where appropriate) and carries emergency reversal agents at all times.

  • Asymmetry: Minor asymmetry may occur due to natural facial differences but can be corrected at the review appointment.

  • Infection: Strict sterile technique is used to minimise this risk.

Contraindications

  • Active skin infections (acne) in the treatment area.

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • History of severe autoimmune conditions (discussed during consultation).

FAQs - Jawline Sculpting in Brisbane

Will jawline contouring make my face look wide?

This is a common fear. If soft product is placed superficially in the skin, yes, it can look puffy. However, Dr Ricky places rigid, structural product deep on the bone. This stretches the skin tighter, actually making the face appear more defined and “snatched,” not wider.

How much product is required?

The jawline is a large anatomical zone. Unlike the lips, defining the entire mandible from ear to chin often requires a multi-syringe approach to create a visible structural change. We will give you a candid assessment of the required volume during your consultation.

Does it hurt?

We primarily use a Cannula (a blunt-tipped instrument) for jawline work. This significantly reduces sharpness and bruising compared to needles. Most patients describe the sensation as “pressure” rather than pain.
