Collagen & Tissue Support

Evidence-informed options for collagen support and skin quality improvement.

Over time, the skin’s natural collagen is gradually broken down, which can reduce elasticity and fullness and make lines and folds more noticeable. As part of a doctor-led plan, selected collagen-supporting approaches may help encourage your skin’s own collagen formation, aiming to improve firmness and facial support over time.

For suitable adults, this may soften the appearance of lines, wrinkles and folds and contribute to a fresher, more balanced look. Changes typically develop gradually, and responses vary between individuals.

Important: Some options may involve a prescription-only medicine. We do not advertise prescription-only medicines to the public. Any such option can only be discussed and, if appropriate, provided after a consultation with a registered medical practitioner. Individual results vary; no outcome is guaranteed.

At Eleventh Heaven Brisbane,  doctor-led consultations are provided for selected non-surgical face, neck and body concerns. Following assessment, our Doctor may discuss personalised options to support face and neck skin quality, buttock contour, inner-arm laxity, and the appearance of stretch marks, as clinically appropriate. Where suitable, plans can include skincare, energy-based therapies, and staged approaches tailored to your goals and anatomy.

FAQs

What is collagen?

Collagen is a key structural protein that helps keep skin firm and smooth. As we age, natural collagen production gradually declines, which can make lines, folds and changes in elasticity more noticeable. The rate of change varies between individuals.

Collagen support & skin quality — what does it involve?

Collagen-supporting treatments are doctor-led, non-surgical approaches designed to encourage your skin’s own collagen renewal and improve overall skin quality. Depending on suitability, your plan may include evidence-informed skincare (e.g., sunscreen, retinoids as tolerated, antioxidants), energy-based therapies (such as laser or light devices), and other modalities discussed at consultation. Results are typically gradual and vary between individuals; your practitioner will outline expected timelines and maintenance after assessing your skin.

Who are potential candidates?

Adults aged 18+ may be considered for a doctor-led consultation on facial volume and contour at our Brisbane clinic. Final suitability depends on your medical history, immune status, medications, skin condition, and goals. Many people seeking subtle, gradual changes—including those who’ve noticed reduced facial fullness (for example, with low body fat or high training loads)—choose to explore these options. If you have underlying health conditions, your practitioner will assess carefully and may coordinate care with your GP or specialist.

Are there any contradictions to treatment?

Yes, treatment is not possible if you:

  • are currently pregnant/planning/breastfeeding
  • have known allergies to the ingredients

How long does the procedure take?

It takes approximately 30-60 minutes to numb and conduct the treatment.

Is it painful?

Certain areas can be sensitive so numbing cream and/or ice will be used to ensure your comfort.

Is there any downtime?

As with many non-surgical procedures, temporary bruising, swelling or tenderness can occur. These effects usually settle over several days, but experiences vary. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare and advise when it’s appropriate to apply makeup and resume activities. Many people find any social downtime to be brief, though it’s wise to schedule appointments with upcoming events in mind.
